Online resources for clubs, coaches, athletes and volunteers
Swim England South East has brought together a range of on-line resources, intended to help clubs and their members, and regularly organises video-conferencing seminars and workshops for coaches and club chairs.
Constitutional Year
The County Management Committee has agreed to amend the Constitutional and Financial year to end on December 31st (this is inline with Swim England). This means that the ACM, which could not be held because of the lock-down, will now take place in the autumn.
The existing Management Committee will remain in place until the end of the year. The President elect will take office in January 2021.
Remaining National Events in 2020 Cancelled/No licences for level 1 or 2 meets will be granted.
The Swim England Swimming Leadership group have issued a statement cancelling all national events scheduled to take place in the latter part of 2020.
Additionally, the Swim England Swimming Leadership Group considers that it will be neither possible nor practical to stage regional swimming championships in early November of this year. After very careful consideration, the group has determined that regional short course championships will not take place in 2020.
The group has also decided that no competition licences will be issued at levels one or two for the remainder of 2020. Meets that have already been granted licences for forthcoming events in 2020 at levels one and two will have the option to be downgraded to level three or four in the first instance.
It should be kept in mind that licensing at all levels remains suspended until further notice, with all currently issued licences being provisional in status.
Impact on Hampshire County ASA activities
- The 2020 County Swimming Talent Development camps have been cancelled.
- May 2, 2020: Hampshire Synchro competition cancelled
- June 6, 2020: Hampshire County Dinner and Dance postponed to a date in the autumn
- June 27/28, July 4 2020: Hampshire County Development Competition cancelled
