Championship conditions

DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP CONDITIONS

  1. All diving installations shall be in accordance with the present FINA regulations and approved by a representative of the  Swim England Diving Committee.
  • The tests shall be set out in the specific sections below.  All dives to be selected from the FINA tables and no dive to be repeated other than dives specific to Novice and Skills Competitions.  Dives of the same number to count as the same dive.  Dive sheets must be in the hands of the Diving Secretary 1 hour before competition.  Changes to Dive Sheets may be made up to half an hour before the start of the competition.
  • Details of the entry on the official form shall be in the hands of the Diving Secretary 21 days before the championship.  Late entries will be accepted up to one hour before the commencement of the event, dependant on numbers, and subject to a payment of double entry fee.
  • There shall be a referee, who shall be in charge of the Championship
  • General Championship Conditions of the County Association and conditions of the Swim England Diving Championships shall apply.
  • A junior shall be defined as anyone 18 years of age or under in the year of the event.
  • Divers must be a member of a club affiliated to the Hampshire ASA.

NOVICE DIVING

Anyone who has not dived in a Regional event at skills level or above may compete:

Divers must choose six skills from the above table. You cannot choose more than one skill from one box.

INTERMEDIATE SPRINGBOARD

Anyone who has not dived in a National event at skills level or above may compete:

Girls and Boys 14/15  6 dives from 4 groups

Girls and Boys 16/18  6 dives from 4 groups

In each event no dive may be repeated

JUNIOR AND SENIOR SPRINGBOARD

In each event no dive may be repeated

Dives may be performed from 1 metre or 3 metre, but in the Senior event at least 3 dives shall be performed from 3 metre.

Junior Boys and Girls             6 dives from 5 groups

Senior Mens and Ladies         8 dives from 5 groups

AGE-GROUP PLATFORM

Girls and Boys 9+U    3 dives from 2 groups – 5 metre

Girls and Boys 10/11  4 dives from 2 groups – 5 metre (age 11 or 7.5m)

Girls and Boys 12/13  5 dives from 3 groups – 5 metre or 7m (age 13 or 10m)

Girls and Boys 14/15  5 dives from 4 groups – 5m, 7.5m or 10m

Girls and Boys 16/18  6 dives from 4 groups – 5m, 7.5m or 10m

JUNIOR AND SENIOR PLATFORM

All dives may be performed from 5 metre, 7.5 metre or 10 metre

Junior Girls and Boys          6 dives from 4 groups

Senior Ladies                        7 dives from 5 groups            

Senior Mens              8 dives from 6 groups

JUNIOR MASTERS SPRINGBOARD

Divers must be 16 to 24 years of age in the year of the Competition.  Divers must not have competed in a National/Regional/County Age Group or National/Regional/County Championship in the current or previous year.

MASTERS SPRINGBOARD

Dives may be performed from 1 metre or 3 metre springboard.

Open to all divers aged 25 years and over within the year of the competition
